Poker Shortcuts: Street Bet - Ring Tab

Note: The software must be calibrated to your table felt colors for these Street Bet features to work correctly. See the Calib tab for details.
Note: When using the features in Shortcuts, be sure that your mouse is positioned over a table and not over any on-screen display or HUD item (heads up display).
On this tab you define your desired betting amounts for each street (pre-flop, flop, turn, and river) when you are sitting at a Ring game table. Then you can have the software automatically put your desired bet in the betting box, or you can press a key to do this.
Quick Setup:
- Enter your desired bet amounts for each street. The top 2 rows of boxes are for tables with more than 2 players seated at the table and the second two rows are for tables with only 2 players at the table. The box at the far left if for preflop, and you enter a value in terms of the number of big blinds that you wish to bet. The other boxes define the bet size in terms of % of pot.
- Check the checkbox "Automatically put the street bet amount in the betting box". This is recommended.
- Enter a keyboard or mouse code in the next box if you plan to use a key/mouse button for manually putting the street bet in the betting box. Most people don't use this.
Pre-Flop (if you are 1st to Raise the blind bet) - see the PreFlop* column (top row)
The number you enter here is the desired amount to raise to, in terms of the number of big blinds. If you put 4 in this box, then you will raise to 4 times the big blind. If there are limpers in front of you, then one big blind will be added for each limper. If you put 4 in this box, and you are on the button with 2 limpers before you, then a total of 6 big blinds will be entered into the betting box for you.
Other streets (if you are 1st to Bet) - see the Flop**, Turn** and River** columns (top row)
On the other streets when 1st to act, you can enter the % of the pot that you want to bet. If you put 50 in one of these boxes, then your bet on that street will be 50 % of the pots value. (The amount of the rake is considered to be in the pot).
Pre-Flop (NOT 1st to Raise the blind bet) - see the PreFlop** column (2nd row)
In this case, someone has raised before you, and in this box you can specify the amount of the pot to raise.
Let's say you place 100 in this box (meaning that you want to make a 100% pot size raise). In a 200NL game, say there are 2 limpers and then someone raises to $6. The pot now contains 2+2+6+1+2=13. It costs you $6 to call, which would make the pot total $19 if you called. Now to raise 100% of the pot, you need to raise to $19 plus the $6 to call amount, or $25. This is the amount that will be placed in the betting window for you.
Note: If pot has been re-raised, the values that the program calculates for you are approximate.
Other streets (NOT 1st to Raise/Bet) - see the Flop**, Turn** and River** columns (2nd row)
In this case, someone has bet or raised before you, and you can specify an amount of the pot to raise. Let's assume that you put 50 (%) into the box for the river amount. Say there is $50 in the pot, and someone bets $25 into you. So there is $75 in the pot + $25 to call = $100 in the pot. To make a 50% of the pot raise, you will need to raise to 50% of $100 + your $25 to call amount = $75. If you raise to $75, that would be a 50% of a pot size raise.
Note: If pot has been raised before you, the values that the program calculates are approximate.
Automatically put the street bet amount in the betting box - checkbox
This a very useful feature! If you check this check box, the program will automatically place the bet amount directly in the betting window, as soon as the betting window becomes visible. This means that you can see what your predefined betting/raising amount is, and you can just click on the BET or RAISE button on the table to make this bet. Or you can adjust the amount using the Incremental betting feature (described here).
Keyboard or Mouse Code to manually put the street bet amount
In this box you should enter the keyboard or mouse code that you want to use to manually put the street bet amount into the betting box. This isn't necessary if you are using the automatic feature described above.
A listing of available key and mouse codes is available here.
Auto-Click the Bet/Raise button AFTER manually putting the street bet amount - checkbox
If this option is checked, then when you press the Street Bet key/mouse button, the software will put your street bet in the betting and will also click the Bet or Raise button on the poker table for you.
Round all bet sizes to be a multiple of x times the Small Blind
This value will round your bets to be some multiple of the Small Blind (set to 0 to disable). This is useful if you want your bets to be rounded to whole values. Many users like a value of 1, so that every bet will be evenly divisible by the small blind amount and you will get "normal" looking bet amounts.
If you would like larger rounding increments, then try 2, which will round your bets to be an even multiple of the big blind amount.
Some users like to confuse their opponents with very unusual bet sizes. By setting this value to 0, the software will not round your bet size.
Your Bet/Raise amount may seem unusual...
When you are in the Small Blind or the Small Blind is missing: The software is not able to detect when you are in the small blind or if that player is missing. Consequently, on the preflop street, your bet size may be off by one small blind amount. I recommend using you mouse wheel in increment your bet size (set up on the Inc/Dec Bet tab) and increase your bet size for this condition.
When rake has been taken out of the pot: poker sites take money out of the pot for their rake. This amount is still considered to be in the pot for all pot calculations (and all bet/raise amounts), but the amount of the rake doesn't show up on your screen when you look at the amount in the pot. So a 100% pot will be slightly higher than what appears to be in the pot, because this bet also includes the amount of the rake.
If you need to calibrate to the table felt colors: If the software is not calibrated to the table's felt colors, it will not be able to tell what street you are on. If you enable the Debug Tooltip (on the Misc tab) you can see if the software is detecting the street correctly. If not, calibrate the software to the felt colors on the Calib tab.
